  5. A sales order processing system for carpet retailers. Its main function is to
  6. produce sales invoices and keep a record of carpet stock. Stock is entered onto
  7. the system with an original roll length. Sales orders can then be keyed to the
  8. system, with cut lengths of carpet ordered from stock and non-stock items.
  9. Having entered these orders, when the carpet is fitted, a fitted date is
  10. entered and at this point the order becomes a sales invoice. The system can be
  11. interrogated for outstanding sales orders, sales invoices, produce a stock
  12. valuation, and trace cut lengths of carpet to customers. The software is
  13. written in Informix 4GL and can therefore be linked to other 4GL accounting
  14. systems.
